Liz's own weight loss story is a classic one. At 14, she was the only kid attending meetings at the local diet center, and she spent most of the next two decades trying every crash diet and extreme exercise program under the sun. In her 30s, Liz left her career as a Broadway actress and also gave up on punishing herself. In time, by ditching the fad diets, building a support network, and spending some time figuring out what worked for her, she lost the weight for good.
Helping others do the same became her passion. She worked for many years as the Director of Brand Advocacy for Weight Watchers, interviewing members about their successes, conducting focus groups, and developing programs. Eventually, she struck out on her own as a private coach and consultant, and today she is a nationally-renowned wellness and weight-loss expert.
Liz is likely best known for helping Oscar-winning actress and musician Jennifer Hudson lose weight and transform her life. She also helped Jessica Simpsonshed over 50 pounds of baby weight (twice!). Other celebrity clients include Charles Barkley, Katie Couric, Suze Orman and Amber Riley. Today, Liz coaches both high-profile talent and everyday clients in all areas of weight loss, balance, and nutrition.
An N.A.S.M. Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Exercise Specialist, Liz’s deep knowledge comes from both her personal journey, an insatiable drive to gather the latest information on behavior modification science, weight loss, and technology, and her experience working in the field with hundreds of people to help them achieve their lifestyle goals.
In her consulting work, she is deeply involved in helping companies develop wellness technology, from wearables and devices to apps and programs. She has consulted for LifeTime Fitness, Misfit Wearables, LEVL, LifeReimagined, Stash, and more. She also worked with Turner Broadcast as they began creating a new digital television network focused on Health and Wellness, and is collaborating with (former-client!) Charles Barkley on a show for AOL digital.
Liz’s perspective and counsel has appeared widely in print, including in People Magazine, The New York Times, Ebony, Real Simple, Women’s World, and Us Weekly Magazine.
She has appeared on Good Morning America, QVC, The Dr. Oz Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Katie! and The Doctors, and is a sought-after speaker and panelist at national events.
